Homemade Beauty Remedies

Who doesn't love a quick and easy DIY remedy? There are so many different products on offer, which claim to make us all beautiful, often with a hefty price tag, so here are a few options which wont cost you a penny and are readily available in your kitchen cupboards.

Revive puffy eyes
Black tea can reduce the bags under your eyes. Dip a teabag in a cup of hot water for a few minutes, leave to cool in the fridge, and then place the damp bag to the closed eye for 10 minutes.

Soften chapped lips
Rub olive oil on your lips a couple of times a day to soothe and soften with immediate effect.

Whiten teeth
Crush a few fresh strawberries with a pinch of baking soda and enough water to make a paste. Brush your teeth with this for a few minutes once every three or four  months to remove stains.

Lighten hair
Add cinnamon to a dollop of conditioner and coat your hair with it. Leave on overnight, tying your hair up and covering with a shower cap. First thing in the morning, rinse off.

Reduce cellulite
Mix 1/2 cup ground coffee beans, 1 tablespoon local raw honey and 1 tablespoon almond oil to form a paste. Rub it on cellulite using circular motions for approximately five minutes to help exfoliate your skin then rinse off.
