I found this in State of Craft, an amazing craft book with so many different ideas. Someone I went to uni with is actually featured in here! I've made a lot of things from here and this was the first one and probably the most useful. As it's waterproof, it's great for putting in body puffs or your toothbrush in, anything that will be wet and you don't want to put with your other toiletries.
You will need-
Plastic bags in various colours (try M&S, Superdrug and Argos)
Plastic bags in various colours (try M&S, Superdrug and Argos)
Paper
Iron
Small zip
Needle and thread
This is basically made up of lots of layers of plastic fused together, so start with the base- you will need 3 bags for this. Lay the first bag flat, cut off the handles and cut along the seams to create two single pieces cut into the shape and size you want for your make up bag then repeat with the other 2 bags. Sandwich these 6 pieces between two pieces of paper and iron over the top to melt the plastic and fuse the layers together. You can then cut out shapes from different colour bags to iron onto your base pieces to add detail using shapes and colours. Remember to use the paper to protect the iron and the ironing board. Then with the outside sides facing each other, sew up along 3 of the edges, so when the bag is turned inside out the stitching is on the inside. Then sew in the zip.
