What a Carry On- Travel Tips

Not long till we're off to Rome! I am so excited, and have an itinerary all organised to make the most of our four days there. Because we're going for such a sort time, we're only taking hand luggage, which is never easy! My main problem is the liquid situation- I can cope with the 100 ml issue, but I just have too many different bottles and those little bags at the airport are so small! So I did a bit of research to try and find a few solutions.

Everyone knows the usual tips and tricks for packing when travelling, like roll your clothes, don't fold them to cram more in your suitcase, but here's a few more ideas to try...

To prevent bottles from leaking, put clingfilm over the top before putting the lid on

Fill empty contact lens cases with your cosmetics

Put a cotton wool ball or pad in your powdered cosmetics to protect them

Thread your necklaces through a straw to stop them from getting tangled 

Put a dryer sheet in your suitcase to keep everything smelling nice

Bring an empty water bottle and fill it after going through security

Put dirty shoes in a shower cap (use the free one you get in your hotel room!)
