New Nails

I'm not a big makeup junkie, but I love nail varnish and recently have got really into nail art. Pinterest is a really good source of inspiration; there are some really weird and wonderful designs, especially with the jewel encrusted talons that are big in Tokyo becoming more popular over here.
I think with a bit of practice I might make this my Career Plan B!  Here's a few pics of my nails recently...

I absolutely love this and felt very proud of myself after I finished them.  All you need is a cocktail stick to swirl around two blobs of different coloured nail varnish so its pretty simple.   



This was using a glitter nail varnish on top of a pink base, which I just layered up to make like an ombre effect if you can tell from the photo.  But make sure you use a polish with lots of glitter in, otherwise its takes ages to build up...

These nail transfers were from Primark and cost the grand total of £1. So I didn't think they would last very long but was pleasantly surprised- I could even do the washing up and they didn't come off! You do have to cut them to the exact shape of your nail first though, its really hard to trim them once they're stuck on.
